That Rugby ground Enzo is in is St Helens Rugby Ground

I go running past there quite often when I go running down Swansea Bay

Just opposite that ground there is a tribute to a young lad called Ben Bellamey that I always run past

    It's a tragic story

He was only 17 yrs old and he was on I think his first night out to a club ever

and he was walking home across the forefront of Swansea Bay and he got talking to these three lads

and these three lads at some point turned on him and beat him to the ground and robbed him of his bank card

but even worse than that instead of just leaving him there they stripped him to make it look like he had gone swimming and dragged him into the sea to drown

all three scumbags were only in their teens themselves and all lived locally in the area - all sent down for years

I think Enzo knows the boys Father cos he lives by him around that way

    Yes it is sickening

And I can assure you it is a true story as well

At the time Enzo Maccarenelli was one of the guys showing support to the family of the boys parents - it was all in the local paper around September 2005

I've just been reading about it on the BBC website. They got big sentences but, of course, thats no real consolation to the murdered kids family. Sad.

With some hindsight, how did anyone think Enzo would beat Haye? Opponents like Bobby Gunn, Mooted opponents like Sellars and then the mighty TBC are hardly championship stuff.

Yes why not. If Enzo could get past 5 rounds without taking too much punishment and DH had begun to gas then maybe so.

Enzo will still become a beltholder.

Yeah - he got a younger brother by only a couple of years who is now gonna live the rest of his life as a only child

and the mother said she can't go out anymore without seeing something that reminds her of her son and she breaks down in tears

and then the Father went to a hearing in court to see these Scumbags who had launched a appeal to have their sentences reduced and the father John Bellamey launched himself at one of the boys screaming "your dead" - he got alot of anger in him as you would if someone had murdered your son

All three of them scumbags have screwed their own lifes up as well - and they will never be able to show their faces in Swansea agains as there will be surely be people waiting for them to take revenge

I know what you are saying - I myself was worried in case he landed a big one.

But looking purely at his record, how did people think it was likely/possible?

He had 1 fight against decent opposition. 1 fight.

plenty on here thought it would be Macca over haye. the whole thing about enzo winning late on is crap to. Haye was in better shape than macceranelli.

Haye beat Mormeck and Frogomenie beyond 6.

Yeah, plenty of muppets thought that

You have to be a horrible analyst to pick Maccarinelli to beat Haye. If I made that pick I'd depart and join the underwater tiddlywinks forum.

I wanted Macca to win too.

Yes for some reason I find that story particularly upsetting. I read that bit about his mother on the website, cant imagine what living with that kind of pain must be like.

Gavin Rees is looking pretty ripped these days, and ready for Mac....I think that the fight is probably 50/50
