I've gone from disgusted to interested.

To be honest they should of done something like this from the start.
But they where so desparate to have a "World Championship" bout to sell.

He got derailed by some unkonown and it through him right off.. He went from an exciting swamer to a john ruiz clone but in his fight with Swaby bearing in mind how little training he'd done he looked fairly impressive. His amateur pedigree is fantastic.. ABA champ and about 16 other titles. KO'd David Starie in one and was the number 1 heavy for well over 18 months. Ask anyone circa that period of the sport and he was THE best prospect in the UK.

He is suceptable to a dig and is massively temporemental but I know mathew and if this fight comes off he'll give it a real go. And he will KO macca if he lands no doubt about it.

Because boxing information genius... their all noted punchers with low KO percentages. Have you heard of a guy called Tim Witherspoon? He could punch a bit too. You know nothing about the sport. Its common knowledge Ellis is a decent banger. Plus he's fighting a guy whose just been sparked and earlier in his career was bombed out by Lee Swaby... by the way Swabys only stopped 11 of 47.

You critisise my opinion when you've demonstrated no knowledge of your own. Stick to doing sums kid. :good

But the guy has fought at heavyweight and Macca's a light cruiser with a dodgy chin... the words were "if he lands"... which makes me interested in this.

I've seen Ellis a couple of times, one of them against Audley where he was terrible tbh.

However i think he can hurt Enzo if he catches him.

He's been training or a fight on the undercard and he's a small heavyweight.

He's a more interesting fight than bloody Alvarez though thats' for sure, but Enzo reallly should have too much power for him and break him early on.

    Enzo TKO 3.

This is clearly a bad fight for Ellis who mentally and physically may be at the end of a bad beating. The guy has only just launched a some what sporadic comeback. Even when he was milling around the pro circuit he got manhandled by Audley and then knocked out again when he stepped down in weight against Moran. Ellis was an entertaining swarmer but the guy didnt have a punch that could be respected.Honestly he couldnt crack an egg. His style just didnt suit his punch power. Plus with his lack of size he was easy pickings. I remember his beating by Bakhtov. It wasnt nice. Ellis should have stayed retired. But props to the guy if he can get a result but in my opinion the odds are stacked massively against him.

Jeff your letting your bias take over now. Ellis was a decent domestic fighter at Area contention but he could never crack with any real authority. He was like watching a white herky jerky version of Joe Frazier who just didnt have the punch to match. Id like to think he could get a result mate but its highly unlikely.
