The thing is after he sparks Mac he's not gonna need too many tune-up fights to be established. Right now Haye is on the brink of being a real star in Britain, but he needs one big domestic clash to capture the british public's attention and this is the fight. This is why it has to happen.

He wont have to fight many people to get high in the rankings. A few fights against the likes of Rahman, McCline, Gomez or Brock would catapult him right to the top of the pile in less than 18 months. By which time he will be a fully established, 225lbs 6ft3 heavyweight aged 28/29 and ready for Wlad.

Of all the fighters on the up-n-comers list, of all the potential saviours, the one most likely to be the champion is David Haye. Say what you want about Povetkin, Solis, Arreola or Sam Peter, he's the only one who looks likely to beat The Mighty Invincible Klitschko Brothers.

He most certainly does, I'm amazed he's agreed to it. I'm even more amazed Warren is allowing it too

Luckily I was yeah, but I had to stand up and take in a few deep breaths, blink twice and read it again :D

I'm with Ding, I want Haye to win purely because Warren having control of the division would be ****ing awful he'd just match Maccarinelli with as many bums as possible. If Haye wins the belts he'll most likely move up to heavy leaving Warren with **** all, lovely.

I said the same myself. Only, I reckon the WBA & WBC would just strip him of the titles unless he fought his mandatories. We both know the WBO won't do that. Warren makes them too much money:D

The only side to Haye winnng that I don't like is that he will move to heavy and possibly leave the Cruiser division in tatters. How long would we have to wait for another Undisputed champ.

Either way, I think credit is due to both fighters for taking this fight. Truthfully, I reckon Macca wanted it more than Warren, despite what some may say. It's all good for us.

:deal good post Nick. I feel pretty much the same way about Hayemaker. He's sure made a fan out of me in the last year or two, and it was crazy awesome fight to take the belts from Mormeck in a serious war.

Sorry I read most of the thread, but didn't notice what weight this will be?? My understanding was Haye called out Enzo for a Heavy fight, but Enzo wanted to fight Cruizer.

    Anybody Please??

    Go Hayemaker!!!!!!!:bbb

That just has to be true...shame certain members of his stable don't have the same sized balls as Enzo, naming no names of course :smoke

Oh and don't worry about the cruiser division if Haye wins and then moves up, Herbie Hide is still active, and he holds a moral victory over VITLAY in that he's the only man that's ever led VITLAY on the cards, apparently. That means he's better than Holyfield, and will make a similar champion.
