He;s the real deal but needs better opponents.

Enzo's not the real anything, he's the phoniest of phonies. I'm not even convinced his power's that good, Braithwaite was hardly illusive or very active, yet Enzo still laboured to an uninspiring points win. He will only look particularly good against men who shouldn't be in the ring with him, and it's sad to say that this is too often enough in some people's eyes.

Agreed. The Gunn fight was one of the most scandalous I can think of, even worse than Tocker Pudwill for Calzaghe, or perhaps not...hmmm....as bad.

This is another shocking match up....simply disgraceful.

It wasnt. FW saw Wayne as a safe bet. The only diffrence was Wayne previously had mixed in a much higher class and was a world champ. He got exposed by Mormeck as not being a real cruiser but more suited to light heavy as his body never accustomed or matured to the extra 10lbs.He came in to light and never carried any significant power. Even former welter and Jonnie Nelson opponent Guillermo Jones KO`ed him in a thriller.

I think this is too much risk for its worth. Sellers has nothing except the punch for Enzo. Why let a 40 yr old man spoil it.

Here's hoping that Sellers can land that one punch on Enzo's chin. He would become an ESB legend if he did it. It's always nice to dream.

It doesn't matter who Enzo fights I don't want him to lose. He is a talented British champion. He has a great style and ONE man brings the whole party to a standstill and thats Frank Warren. I just have to hope that eventually Warren has to let him loose, starts believing in him or Enzo leaves.

I agree, why would anyone want a talent to lose?

He has a great winning mentality as well.

the way i see it, macca has to just keep KOing any less than competitive opponent out to force FW to raise the level of competition.

i think talk of cunningham and any respectable opponent is too early in Warren's eyes, as Macca is not the finished product yet as far as marketing goes. Maybe he wants to build him up, get 3 or 4 more defences under his belt and maybe then give him a big fight just as joe is winding up his career.

i stilll cant judge enzo as I havent seen him fight ONE live opponenet yet.

Once your the champ ( i know WBO), you should be fighting world class oppo.

:bart If a fighter wants the big names he'll force the promoter to get them for him. It's not all Frank Warren here. In order for a fight like this to happen the fighter must agree to it. It works both ways. I only hear Enzo speaking of Sellers's "accolades" and not talking about fighting better fighters.

    exactly what I think.
and you just KNOW Macarinelli is a chancer when he talks up Sellars like that and fails to mention the massive negatives about this opponent. What a joke.
Just hope Sellars can pull a punch out of his locker and put in on Enzo's egg chin

I agree - its a cop out to just blame the promoter and never the fighter.

In fairness to Maccarinelli hes not the only Warren fighter at fault - most of Warrens fighters are over protected and talk up poor opponents.

A fighter can only be judged on the fights he has, no matter who's to blame. Enzo doesn't look that good to me and I'm surprised anyone can be bothered to go through the motions of praising what little he has done. If he's serious, he needs to step up - he needs to start fighting bums in their prime.

He's holding the WBO belt hostage and it's not fair to the other contenders who sweat and bleed day in and day out in the gym to get that shot at glory. Giving undeserving fighters like the semi-retired Sellers is just coasting and it is so blatantly wrong that Paco Valcarcel needs to ask himself how he can even allow this to happen. He can start by looking at his organization's rankings cuz Sellers cracking the top 15 is a joke right off the bat. If anyone's gonna go rummaging through the rankings it's gonna be Frank Warren. He's just milking the system. It's unacceptable to the fans but perfectly within his rights as Enzo's promoter to promote championship fights in accordance with the rules. The WBO is at fault here for letting this fight happen.
