    Hey all,
    After doing some training around 10 years ago and contemplating going back to fight, I've finally decided it's time.

    This will be my log, will hopefully keep me honest and motivated, will also be a place to track my progress and get any info, so if any one is has any advice, im keen to hear it.

    Stats
    22y.o. male 86kg Orthodox
    Trained for 6 months when i around 13-14, nothing since.
    Looking to fight at light heavy 81kg, by the end of August hopefully.

    As well as what is posted on here is my Strength training, i have another log for this, basically 3 day's per week, squats, dead's, bench, bent rows, military press, chin up's and some kettle bell work here and there.

    This will track my training in the boxing gym.

    Week 1

    Monday 27/3
    First session.
    Jog 1.5km to and from training
    A few rounds on heavy and swing bag's. A couple on f2c and speedball.
    Fitness type circuit in ring with trianer's (corework, hi & lo's)

    Wasn't really sure what to do here, left shoulder was killing me by end, foot work was non-existent as was aerobic capacity.

    Wednesday 29/3
    Jog to and from
    3x3 rounds skipping
    3 rounds heavy bag
    circuit work in ring, hi-lo's on pad's
    3 rounds f2c
    3 rounds padwork with another boxer
    3 rounds speedball
    Correction work on punch technique with trainer.

    HIT WITH FIRST 2 KNUCKLES, ROTATE FIST FULLY ON JAB.

    Friday 1/4
    Jog to and from
    3x3 rounds skipping
    3 shadow's, focus on footwork
    3 rounds heavy bag, focus on foot work, stick n move.
    3 rounds pad's with trainer
    2 rounds f2c
    2 rounds speedball
    Practice punch technique

    ROTATE BODY WHEN THROWING JAB, PUNCH THROUGH

    Need mouth guard for sparring next friday

    First week was good, obviously need a lot of conditioning, my jab shoulder feel's like its 100kg and cardio is **** poor on pad work. Also knuckles are sore on my left, not doing any punching over w/e, will do some footwork drills though at home

    5 shadow's
    3 rounds speedball
    3 rounds pad's with trainer
    3 rounds speedball


    Really poor session tonight, My knuckles on my left were too sore to hit heavy bag and just a lack of energy.

    FOCUS ON BREATHING OUT FAST WHEN PUNCHING

    Jog to and from
    4x3 skipping
    4 shadow
    3 swing bag
    3 speedball
    3 f2c
    3 padwork with trainer
    4 broken rounds of eye contact light sparring


    First time I’ve been in ring or done any defensive work was loving life.


    WATCH THE SHOULDERS NOT GLOVES. BE FIRM WITH PARRY.
