I think Nelson would of outboxed Enzo easily enough and eventually stopped him . One thing to remember is Enzo has improved a bit since this fight was first scheduled . With that said I think Nelson would of beaten the version of Enzo we have now but what he would of done to the version that got a close decision(in which I think he lost) over Mark Hobson is far worse .
Nelson would have outboxed Enzo with possibly a few scares along the way.Nelson was very elusive slick and sometimes as in his early career, negative and defensively minded. But he could when he wanted to really turn it on against the right opposition.Enzo wouldnt have represented anything that the well travelled Nelson had never seen before. Its a shame the fight never happend because of Nelsons injury. The hype around Enzo would be non-existent by now.
Nelson would have won this fight comfortably because he has what Hopkins has, he has an awkward style that can win fights at a slow pace ....... Im not a fan of Nelson or Hopkins but these guys knew how to construct wins from fights, 2 of the most boring fighters of all time but i give them full respect .... (Nelson is a great boxing pundit and is an asset to SKY, Piper is an arsehole)
I had money on Nelson that night because I was sure Nelson was a level or two above. That fact that Hobson, in most people's eyes, won the fight makes me feel like it was a very good value bet at 11/10.
