Although I agree both of these actions show a lot of heart/courage, machismo is more like an "I am a bigger man" display, such as when a fighter sticks his chin out or pounds his chest.

without a doubt morales/pac 1 round 12.....the man had to know pac needed a knockout to win and he deicded to turn southpaw and stick with it as if to say, "we both know you need a knockout so here is your chance!".......doing that against some joe shmo club fighter would be no big deal but this was against pac who was and still is considered a whirlwind of violence and pain, especially after how he took care of barrera as no one ever would have expected him too.
