I'm not gonna pretend and say that I saw Sulecki fight before last night, but the dude is the truth. Maybe not enough to rule the division, but he makes it close with everyone!
No. I suspect he'll be another Fonfara type imo.. Gets a tad over hyped because of a better than expected performance against a good fighter. I don't see anything special. Decent B level fighter.
What do you mean better than expected? Many, many people were saying he was going to give Jacobs hell and he did.
Sulecki put in a workman like performance and Jacobs responded with a workman like performance in kind. Sulecki isn't anything special. Jacobs I suspect didn't fight as though he was motivated as if he would against a Charlo brother, for example.
Just watched highlights on YouTube, he seems alright. If he had more power, Jacobs wouldn’t go after him so much (and allow himself to be so sloppy at times), getting dropped right at the end did him no favours either. No way this guy troubles other top MWs but then again all I’ve seen is roughly 8min of him.
Umhh.. On various forums that was the impression I got. I saw some giving him a shot but from my own experience anyway most where predicting a convincing win for DJ. It may not have been your reading of it but it was mine.
