    Lee and Macklin both have too much power for delicate darren - Lee probably has too much skill for Macklin although it would be a tough fight to call...

    If Darren applies the same moronic tactics as last night then he loses to both. Macklin showed he's a solid operator against Sturm (stupid not to take the rematch though). Lee would get battered by either, IMO.

    you figure this how exactly? :?

    did better than nearly anyone thought , close fight , competitive with martinez until the latter rounds and got caught.

    Nullified martinez made him look ordinary with basic good defensive work, should have came back with more shots but i think to say the tatics were moronic is well ****in moronic :good

    Barker was not competitive at all - walking forward, covering up and losing every round does not equate to "good tactics". They were awful tactics that left him no chance to win.

    I don't think tactics were Barker's problem - he was outclassed by Martinez. Had Barker been more aggressive then he would almost certainly have been KOd earlier. Ask Paul Williams.

    I'd say Macklin-Barker is a pick 'em fight.

    Barker was competetive throughout the fight and he didn't loose anywhere near every round anyone who thinks he did is a moron

    He did not lose every round,it was a very competive fight with most of the rounds being close.I had him winning 5 rounds anyone who gave him less then 3 rounds need to go to specsavers imo.

    If anything, Barker seemed stronger than i've seen him before. Always struck me as a bit flimsy but Martinez caught him right behind the ear. They don't hurt, but it feels like you're walking on a duvet in lead boots and you don't get back up before the 10 count.

    Though later he stood in range, albeit covered up, taking shots without giving back far too much.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    what fight did you watch, or are you just so pro martinez you cant see?

    i really like martinez , dont think he should be ranked as highly as he is but he is without a doubt a superb fighter. but to say he won every round of that fight and barker wasnt even competitive is stupid. Barker looked strong up until 6-7 , had a good defense and was throwing the better jab and won at least 3 of the rounds if not more depending on how you see it. Martinez looked busy but was ineffective until 7 then yes he started to take over, barkers defense became leaky and he didnt throw enough. But he also wasnt getting battered around the ring, he was still in it and it was slowly slipping away, until he got caught with a good shot and went down, no shame or disgrace in my opinion.

    If his tatics were so wrong in your opinion what should he have done to be "competitive"???

    Over 12, Macklin would be too busy for both of them.

    I think people are going overboard on Lee for beating Brian Vera.

    I think both would beat barker.
    IMO barker is quite a bit off world class, macklin is probably (based on his performance in Germany) close to world class and Lee is still not world class but has the skills to challange for a title in the next 12 - 18 months.
