I'll take someone's opinion who's been in there with someone over people who watch from the outside any day. You can't just disregard someone's first hand experience because it doesn't fit with how you want to see things.
7-1/2 minutes numb nuts. there are 3 minutes per round in boxing. also, Macklin mentioned he viewed Adama fights just for being a potential sparring partner so there's no doubt he watched every Golovkin fight he could get his hands on, with going for a title shot.
Really? From what I've seen, it's the GGG fans who claim Ward needs to fight their hero. There are far better fights for Ward to take than Golovkin, anyway. Ward has nothing to gain from fighting a man who is not only largely unproven, but is naturally smaller than him (Ward is a natural LHW).
Lol no. Go to any GGG thread and you will see dozens of pages with Ward fans constantly talking **** about him and trying to convince everyone how GGG is ducking Ward. Regarding your second point, yeah, Ward has some better fights, and so does GGG, I'd like him to seriously test himself at both 160 and 168 before taking on Ward.
I agree with Macklin and he has broken Ribs to prove it GGG is without doubt the best Middleweight at the moment when these so called top Middle's Man up he will prove it convincingly...anyone who denies this knows **** about Boxing.!!!!
Is that your salutation? Ok then, Buh bye noob. Thanks for dropping in to tour a boxing forum, but we're trying to keep fans who actually know their boxing as the exclusive posters here. don't know how you ****roaches keep scrurrying in.:-(
Compare Martinez' fight with Macklin with Golovkin's fight with Macklin, there is not comparison...........
I'm not sold on GGG's defence yet. Nor about his ability to tag fast, elusive, unpredictable opponents. He rely too much on his toughness and on his immense chin, imo. But, he is a middleweight, and at middleweight he has no fighters at his level outside an healthy Maravilla (that would be hard for both), or maybe the untested Quillin. Basically you have to search in divisions bigger than his own to find someone that could trouble him.
Martinez was all broken up in the Macklin fight. Compare Martinez's fight with JCC jr., there is no comparison with anyone Golovkin has ever fought. Martinez has fought a lot of opponents that were taller or heavyer or both than him, and he send them all to the hospital. And Martinez's biggest asset would be that he wouldn't be there to be hit. His reach is longer than GGG's one, and he is really good in moving around the ring and inside and outside an opponent's reach. He's skilled, he can be elusive and his jab is snappier and accurate. He's a southpaw, able to hit hard with both hands. The one and only thing that could make things easy for Golovkin, is how much healthy Martinez is anymore. That's it. A real prime Martinez would have beat Golovkin in an unanimous decision, imo.
You make very good points except the FIRST line is completely wrong. Against Macklin Sergio was at his peak! his absolute best! In top form! He has said so himself, repeatedly. Did you mean Murray??
