Sadly what boxing fans like you don't seem to realise is that because you see things in black and white does not mean a casual will feel the same.

When they hear a man with a Brummie accent draping himself in an Irish flag because he is whoring himself to the highest bidder, why would they get behind him?

So - back to boxing - how do ye all think "Irish" Matthew Macklin and "Irish" Martin Murray will get on in their two big fights?

Because it shouldn't matter a damn thing where the guy is coming from, wich country he represents, wich race/nationality his parents are, and why he has opted to represent his current country.

Did you condemn Lewis for hopping nationalities as he saw fit? Would you fall off the Fury bandwagon (if you're on it) if he drops his British passport and becomes an Irishman like he already says he is? :blood

Clearly you are incapable of understanding how the casual fan works.

Well ok, Mister Boxing Expert, maybe you could explain to us how the 2 "Irish" lads are going to get on in their big fights then?

You can manage that, cant you?

I think Martin is the slight favorite to beat Geale because he has done better against the same opponents as Daniel, only on paper it doesn't look like that.

And Murray will clearly outpoint Bursak.

Sure, post a thread in the Irish section and I'll discuss it. This is the Brit forum Len.

You and your nationalist agenda seem to be lost.

Or maybe you are craving the attention of your superiors?

Peter quillen is the best irish middleweight around today and if we're talking basketball i'd say shaq o'neill was deffo the best.

The best ever irish comedian was edward murphy too.

Most of what you post is absolute shite, however on this occasion you are spot on.
Murray should have went on to bigger and better things, but he seems to have stagnated and his career seems to be going backwards.
Maybe the passport/visa issue is to blame, maybe the big promoters and TV companies won't entertain him, or maybe he's just being awkward ?

Len knows my views regarding Macklin and Murray, i personally think Murray is the better fighter, who could potentially achieve more in the sport, but Macklin is a good fighter and does seem to have suffered popularity wise of late. Maybe people have just given up on Macklin after coming up short a couple of times ?

I'm starting to think you're cracking up Billy. We can't count the Froch-Groves? Hatton, Bruno, Lewis, Eubank, Benn, Watson, Naz all packed the crowds in. Kell Brook has had 10,000 in Sheffield but then you're slagging him at the moment.

Hi there Shakes. Class post (until the end of the brown bit- it went downhill from there ).

Are you surweyou want to elevate Martin to such exalted heights? You do realise that Murray has never beaten a top 30 opponent? Also his two "best" performances were against a below-peak Sturm and a way-below peak Sergio?

Would you do me a favour just to humour me? Meant to ask u this before but I forgot.
Would you rewatch Sturm-Murray and post a list of the rounds you think Murray won. You only need bother listing Murrays rounds please.

    eg 1,4 6 7 10 etc - simple as that.

As you know I had it 8-4 to Sturm (116-112 on points).
I genuinely couldnt personally see all those rounds Murrays supporters claim he won. But I would like to get a viewpoint from someone I regard as a balanced (if misguided :p) poster!
