Don't worry Rob when Lee wins a world title you can claim him too. I think his Grandad visited Engand for a week in 1902 but I can't be sure :hi:

In all seriousness lee needs to forget about the EBU title the minute they put belghecham coming off a loss in a title shot it became worthless and meaningless as title.
Lee is ranked no.2 by the NABO he should push for a shot at that against jacobs and guerrero , who both would give lee a better world ranking and american tv exposure.

Relax. I wasn't trying to claim him - just stating that if you wanted to look for a tenuous link as to why the British could claim him you wouldn't need to go back as far as his grandfather's summer holidays. It was a joke. He's clearly Irish.

I know, I was refering to something Rob said last week about us claiming boxers as Irish because their Grandad visited Ireland for a week in 1902. It's all jokes, anyway if Lee turns out not to be as a good as I thought we can say he's just another British hypejob :D

I can't see this happening but it would be an interesting fight for sure.
Macklin's manager is actually Brian Peters if I am not mistaken! I beleive Peters has a good relationship with Mick Hennessy so for that reason I would not rule it out. Peters also happens to be a non exclusive promoter of Any Lee so that could happen also. I see Barker fighting Zbik for this if Zbik loses against Ghevor.

They are all as bad as each other - content to face a succession of bums until the call comes when Martinez moves back down.

The fights are probably agreed via handshake already.
