if macklin wins it means that rose has no chance against any of the domestic level middleweights

if macklin loses he needs to retire.

The winner gets a new matchroom deal, the loser gets a VIP interactive trip to the glue factory

Should be an entertaining fight, be interesting to see what weight it happens at as Rose was moving up and Macklin moving down.

Macklin didn't cease to be a middleweight just because of the Welborn pitstop. :yep

 I assume you interpreted that as meaning Ninja and not Shogun? The latter would just be ridiculous. :banana

I guess this is one of the rare times when Fast Car say "it's a 50/50" and it actually is. IMO if it was Mat Macklin from 4 years ago it would be a completely different story - it's a shame Macklin's performances have dropped off at such a dramatic rate.

Really, that much that you put him 50-50 with Rose? No shame in any of his losses since Moore. Heiland is pretty underrated and would scramble Rose's brains.

Yes I would say the fight is pretty evenly balanced. Odds are available with PP with Brian Rose 5/6 and Mat Macklin 1/1.
