Macklins opponent gave up. Belchingham wouldn't have given up if you had paid him to. I wasn't comparing their fights. I was simply saying both were bad night for each of them. Macklin did not win every round IMO and in no way was it a good performance. Somehow once again this thread has turned into a ... vs Barker thread. For the record I am a Macklin fan, but in no way do I consider that a good performance. If I was a main rival I would be queing up to fight Macklin next.
I never said it was a good performance from Macklin, I would expect much more from him. I also didnt have him winning every round. I just thought that he never got out of third gear and when he did turn the heat up it was over pretty quickly. Maybe you are forgetting but Shalva was the Georgian middleweight champion!
Is it....yes without a doubt. Belghecham only lossed in the past 5 year has come to N'Jakim and Andy Lee who according to you is world class. He took both the distance. Jomardashvili was coming in 1-2-1 in his last 4 fights and has never faced anyone in the class of Lee or N'Jakim. It doesn't mean Barker looked better than Macklin or would beat him, but don't be bias and talk **** Belghecham is clearly the tougher opponent.
there is fúck all between them to be honest. Remember this is the same Affif Belgacham that people were saying was a bag'o'spanners until he gave Barker a pasting.
Well I never said that and I don't remember Rob saying that. All this has come about by me saying Macklin looked poor in his last fight. It has nothing to do with Barker, Lee, Vitali or ronald McDonald (who by the way looked really poor in his last fight). I said I think Macklin looked poor in his last fight and I 100% stand by that!!!
Macklin's performance was bad, if he's talking about winning a world title you have to take care of guys like him better than that.
