If I cant have an opinion on Tony because I cant lace his gloves - then to be honest Tony should have a little 'ciúnas le do thoil' when it comes to the Tipperary Tornado!! Tel - despite having a far more Irish name than me you are biased towards English fighters - I know you fight it but it shines through hombre. If you think Barker is better than Duddy and Lee well again that highlights how misguided you are - and possibly how little you have seen of the two Irish fighters. Alldue respect mate, Barker ain't a FW fighter just like John Murray ain't who I rate very highly, Along with George Groves and I rate David Price as possibly the best heavyweight in Europe another one who ain't a FW fighter.. I think David Haye is the best thing to happen to British Boxing since Naz, Another non FW man and I also believe Barker deserves his shot, Nothing worse than seeing 2 of the country's top men dodge each other, I simply say this because by all accounts Macklin who I know is struggling for an opponent and Barker has happily said he'll come in!! Why take a third or fourth choice opponent when in fact you can make everyone happy and make a right few quid for yourself in the process?? To be totally honest I can't believe the match ain't been made, It's as appealing a match as any at the min, Boxer Vs Puncher!! Do you not agree??
P.S I never once stated that Macklin pulled out? I know Macklin on a personal level and 1 thing he ain't is a bottle job.The lad would fight anyone, As far as I was aware I thought 3 different opponents pulled out of the fight against him, Put's that one to bed??? :good
I've never once said I didn't want Macklin to fight either Duddy or Lee. I actually think Lee could beat Mack if Im honest.. From my own personal point of view though I'd like to see him fight Barker as both have had a lot of exposure on these shores.. Also guys it don't bother me what's written and by who, You are entitled to your own opinions like everybody else..:good
what possible issue would/could I have with Bellew - never met him but intend on going up to Arnie's in a week or so to interview Fun Time. I think a couple of his comments with regards this topic are incorrect - hardly makes it a personal issue!
