This is a 50/50 fight. I hate that term due to it being constantly mis-used. This time it does apply. (Unlike Frampton-Quigg, which is anything but 50-50.)
Two good fights so far, might not be the star names in British boxing for this fight but its two guys who are meeting at the perfect time where one has declined to the level of the other. Another world title fight on the card and a couple of other good trade fights and it will be a very good card, however to warrant PPV it probably needs 2-3 world level 50/50 fights.
These are the sort of fights that we need more of. Fights where both fighters have something on the line and a win or a loss genuinely affects the path that they are on.
Is this at LMW or MW? Last I heard Macklin was going down to light middle and Rose was moving up to middle?
Maybe! Nah I've now watched the Brian Rose IFL interview where he confirms it is at MW. Must win for the pair of them.
Totally agree with this. Imo it's rose on points or macklin stoppage can't see any other result. I fancy rose if he boxes a disciplined fight.
Lets hope Mack, our greatest recent middleweight, has something left for one last great performance.....
Macklin is going to blow Rose away within 6. No offence to Rose, but all this time and investment for a British level fighter? Sorry I don't rate him at all
