Regarding Geals V Macklin....this fight make a lot of sense

Geale has first shot at the IBO title due to his close loss to Mundine.

The winner of Geale v Macklin would not only pick up the 160 IBO title but would also book a shot at the IBF champ

Lets hope this fight gets made....its the fast track to the title for both guys

Not neccesarily true , i mean if you dont become a world champion you dont become anybody in the boxing world lets not lose sight of that , then there is the business sense if your a past world champion and have held a couple of belts then why go through the politics of holding a world title with mandatory's and everything else , from that point on there is the potential to go free lance vacate your title and fight the big names when you want .

If the top fighters fight the top fighters there will always be a world title somewhere in the equation .

Good test this for Macklin (Gevor that is, presuming it's a done deal).

I dont like to see British fighters getting sidestepped, but at least he's taking on a credible opponent and not some euro/afrobum.

Everytime I hear Gevor's name though, all I can think about is that brutal AA KO. Wow.

the scene says its Gevor. Which is a huge risk i have to say. props to macklin

Gevor is ranked by the WBA and IBF in the top 10, and 2nd by ESB.

You're not getting it. Its fighters fighting top fighters that equal a good legacy. The titles mean **** all. I know exactly what you're saying, about how it makes you marketable. I'm just saying it doesn't necessarily add to your legacy:good

Ghevor-Macklin will be a good scrap :yep

Very tough fight for Macklin but it's one he has to take if he's serious about his world title ambitions and yet still some people say he's avoiding Barker :patsch

Ghevor would be the favourite for sure. He got jobbed against Sturm and was doing well against AA before getting BRUTALLY KO'd.

If macklin couldn't get him out of there then I could see geale sneaking it on points but for my money macklin by ko.
