He isn't fighting Frankenstein's assistant at all.

Why should he fight Barker? Gevor is much higher ranked than Barker and if he wins he could be in line for a mandatory shot at a world title. Barker is all risk, no reward. It would be a silly move.

I think Macklin will manage a stoppage in the mid rounds but if it goes the distance I think Gevor may get a split decision. His performance against Sturm was admirable. This is going to be a ******* of a fight.

    Macklin KO1. I'm Irish, so.……

Seriously though, maybe a Macklin stoppage but probably a 7-5 decision in a great fight.

Too lazy to check boxrec . 31 (16)-4(2). :good His only two losses of the last several years was a very close points loss to Sturm (some call it a robbery but he didn't deserve to win it) and he was decked by Arthur Abraham. No shame in that.

should be good either fighter could win but because Mackin appears to be peaking I will go with him by KO. Gevor is good though.

Yeah thats why I don't think Macklin will win if it goes the distance. All Gevor's points victories were won convincingly. Matthew Macklin isn't much of a boxer, having said that, he is not the all out brawler he was a few years back. Should be an awesome fight. Very tough one to call.
