vs Barker- I think Barker would nick a close decision. Also i don't think he will stand in front of Macklin like Sturm did. Darren would be tested like never before though.

vs Lee- Really tough one to call, if lee can affectively use his southpaw jab and straight left then he could win it but he seems to lose concentration in fights. I would have to say Macklin UD

vs Mcewan- Macklin stops him mid-late rounds imo.

vs Murray - Macklin late stoppage. If cello Renda can hurt Murrat badly then Macklin could KO him.

Barker vs Macklin - Barker SD, I think Barker would be more active than Sturm and would make keep on his toes to keep Macklin off balance whilst popping him with jabs and straights. Macklin however would not have to worry about Barkers modest power unlike Sturm who's power seemed to be pretty deceptive. Barker's superior footwork and straighter punches wins this but Macklin makes it awkward and most likely buzzes Barker a good few times. Very hard fight to call, i was sure Barker would win this before the weekend, now im not so sure.

Macklin vs Lee - Macklin UD possible late stoppage, I think Lee suites Macklin down to the ground, yes he has a fair bit of power from the left hand but Mack would stay close and would'nt give Lee a chance to breath. Macklin goes to the body early and gets the pay off later as he bullies Lee into submission.

Macklin vs McEwan - Macklin KO, if he gassed against Lee, he will most certainly gas against Macklin, very entertaining fight in my view until Macklin wears him down and lands something big.

Macklin vs Murray - Macklin KO, different levels, nuff said.

    Thoughts???

it's interesting that even after how macklin fought on saturday how many people still see barker winning the fight. i think it would be close but with the applied pressure barker would be under macklin would get the nod.

vs Barker - Darren isnt Sturm. He wouldnt stand in front of Matty with a high guard. He would be continuously on the move while defending. He would also throw more jabs and nick a few of the closer rounds on output. I think he wins a decision by a couple of rounds. Barker UD 7-5 or 8-4

vs Lee - Lee is quicker, stronger and has more power. With Macklin's come forward style, Lee wouldnt have to go looking for him. I would think Lee knocks him out late on. All wrong for Macklin IMO. Lee KO late, maybe around the 11th

vs McEwan - I'm going to commit a cardinal sin on this 1. I've only seen Craig fight once (against Lee) so i can only go on that performance. While Craig more than held his own against the Irishman, he gassed bad late on. If the same thing happens against Macklin, we'll see Craig on the canus again. I dont think Macklin has the power to knock him out ind, but he certainly has the power to hurt him and probably win a fairly wide UD. Macklin UD with a knockdown or two along the way.

vs Murray - Macklin is a level above. Easy-ish fight. One which Macklin would win by KO. Macklin KO 6

vs barker - i think macklin is being underrated here, i think he'll stick to barker the whole fight and really go for tthe body, similar tactics to sturm fight but i agree barker might make it more difficult for him, be a bit more elusive/active, but i still see mack nicking this

vs Lee - i don't think macklin would let him get his straight left off, i think macklin is in good condition recently and am confident about his chin, and am not sure about Lee's concentration either

vs McEwan - think macklin's work to the body wil lead to late stoppage for Macklin

vs Murray - One-sided, Macklin's at a different level to Murray at the minute
