Macklin wins on pts, wants pavlik next!

i saw some of the fight, the fella he was fighting was pretty tough, macklin did well just to knock him down

 

Watched it all. I thought Macklins tactics were very poor.

He was always ahead and winning, was expected to knock this fella out.

I dont know if Pavlik is the answer, he is a different level to anything Macklin has fought before

 

it was hard to look good against that guy I recorded the fight and just watched it now.
Pintos came to survive, not win.

I am less convinced about World level for no particular reason but I am sure he deserves at least the chance.

 

I was at the fight. I'm a little disappointed that he didn't get the KO but that said he did record a shutout win and was never in trouble. Macklin is miles ahead of Andy Lee and John Duddy. If he beats Pirog he should go for Sylvester before even thinking about Pavlik.

 

Hard to see Team Sylvester considering Macklin unless he becomes mandatory.

 

I can't remember who amongst the panelists said it, but it was said to Andy Lee that Macklin was ahead of both Lee and Duddy and Lee meekly accepted it. They wanted to make more of a Lee Vs Macklin Irish supershow than a potential world title tilt.

Jimmy is getting more and more funny as each fight comes around. Legend.

 

Dowling said it. Lee didnt exactly accept it. He laughed and raised his eyebrows as if to say "I am here you know" - what else was he supposed to say when he was on the panel?

 

He was nodding along fairly meekly as I saw it. Maybe I am being harsh. Did Dowling say it as though he had forgotten Andy was there?

Although right enough, what exactly could Andy say. He couldn't disagree with anothers perception, especially on a format like that.

A Macklin Vs Lee fight make them both a lot of money and would be a safer bet than Pavlik or Sylvester. Does that fight make more sense than a world title shot where macklin would get the thin edge of a bigger wedge?

 

Like you said, its a polite family friendly format they have running on RTE - and Lee aint about to rock the boat there.

Macklin would take the Barker or Lee or even Duddy fight at the drop of a hat.

Obviously the Lee fight would be the easiest made.

 

Lee definitely disagreed with the facial expression he pulled jst after darragh maloney came out with it and politely laughed it off. He said he wants the macklin fight simple as.

 

The MW IBO World title has just become vacant as Mundine is going down in weight to JM.

Macklin should contact the IBO right away as he would have a small window to fight Dan Geale who is the number 1 contender.

Several guys are throwing the hat in the ring to fight Geale (former champ) but I'm sure the IBO would love Macklin to get the shot.

 

Macklin aint aheadof Andy Lee FFS lee would KO him.

Macklin stunk and Pavlik would tune him up fairly easy I have no doubts

 

Its obvious mick dowling doesnt rate lee he never stops nutthugging macklin... that man has a short memory macklin has been beaten twice already ffs. macklin gets beaten soundly by pirog that i have no doubt of. lee should go for the likes of darren barker 1st there is the most overrated middle weight in the britsh islands.........
