Onwards and upwards for macklin, really impressed with his one punch power at middle. How do you's think he fares against the belt holders.Abrahams moved up but i'd of liked to have seen that, it would of ended up a war.Pavlik is the only serious problem for him, the rest are winnable fights
He (Macklin,) said in his post fight interview that he would beat Sylvester or Strum but didn't mention Pavlik, which is the way I'd see it right now as well.
Agreed. Pavliks too rangey for macklin, but up close macklins brutal hooks catches anybodys attention.
Pavlik is involved in a megafight with Williams and, as we all know, to face off against a big name in the states, you have to have more than a good ranking or a belt. I'd like Macklin to go for Sylvester as it's an easier fight to make - due to his ranking and the Germans not being bothered about whether someone is a 'Worldwide TV draw' - and a win would be a fantastic, and possibly realistic, achievement.
Id like to see Macklin in with John Duddy. Been watching Macklin since he turned pro and iv always been impressed with him.
I didn't know you had anything against Duddy..... he would be pulped in this matchup! It's a bit early to be talking about Pavlik IMO - even though he is pretty ordinary and will be beaten by Williams. Sylvester or Sturm ought to be next.... if that's not possible then look for a half decent opponent in America.
Macklins ready now as he'll ever be.His confidence is through the roof.If pavlik loses to williams that'll be the end of him i think, hopkins took something out of him.
Depends which way you look at him. I am of the opinion that B-Hop exposed his basic style. Either way, Williams UD, IMOgood.
