Former world champion who was pretty decent, nothing special just a decent boxer with a little bit of pop in his shots. He's declined since then and become a gatekeeper, losing to Angulo in one brutal round. He then drew against a low level operator and was then used to boost the confidence of David Lemieux but he upset the applecart and won on points. A MD but many felt it was a very comfortable victory. I expect Macklin if up for it and in good enough shape to win on points without to much fuss. If he fights like he did prior to the Martinez bout then he could be in for a long night. This lad had ability and will have the belief one win could get him a Middleweight world title shot.
