If Golota wasnt on the undercard it would be only 70%

I'm not surprised - even though it was an Event - it's wasn't a Major Event in most eyes.

In talking to most people - they either think Roy is washed up - or Tito is washed up - maybe both. So, there wasn't a real big interest in this fight - unless you were a fan of the Boxers or a Fan of the Sport in general. Their names aren't what they used to be.

    My thoughts-

In their day, these two fighters would have easily sold MSG out. This is RJJ and Tito, two stars, one of them PR born.

What this suggests to me is that the general boxing public is smarter than given credit for, to know this fight isnt as meaningful as it was a long time ago.

The implication of that is that perhaps PBF and DLH shouldn't try to feed the same general public this **** rematch and think its going to be appreciated or do comprable #s to the first which was a let down for many.

Are you surprised? It wasn't sold out because the tickets were crazy overpriced. Even when they slashed the prices, they were still high, considering. Matter of fact, many were expecting the arena to be half empty.

With Jones safety first, no risk style he couldnt sell tickets even in his prime. So I'm not surprised.

And if tickets prices weren't so crazy, there would have been a ton more poor Poles in the stands.

Fights rarely sell out at MSG. Its a big venue so in order to sell out you need to pull from the general sports fan demographic. The problem is boxing tickets especially in MSG are way overpriced so the sports fan who wants night out on the weekend will find other things to do? How do you think the Wlad fight will do with $100 as the cheapest ticket?

    Tickets went from $100-$15,000.

I was ringside, and all of the $1,000+ seats were sold out...So, they still made plenty of money.
