Give me your opinion on these fighters and how would you rate them as far as skillset and abilities. Madrimov Giyasov Melikuziev
Melikuziev is by far the most talented and accomplished IMO. He looked amazing at the Youth Olympics and Youth Worlds and then it was the same at the senior Olympics and World Championships at just 19, he has great footwork, southpaw, fast hands, strong as a bull with skills and power. I was waiting for him to turn pro and I believe that he's a future world champ. Giyasov is good, he's athletic and talented, raw like most of the Uzbeks but I don't think he's world class, specially in a tough weight class like 140-147. Madrimov is really talented but I think he's yet to face a tough opponent, he's naturally strong and athletic and seems to be getting better, I think he would win a title eventually. I still think that Hasanboy Dusmatov and Shakobidin Zoirov are more talented than Madrimov and Giyasov.
Melikuziev, Dusmatov and Zoirov were better amateur boxers than Madrimov, and they had better amateur accomplishments. But among the pros, Madrimov is more talented than them, and even though he is still somewhat raw, he has the goods to become the best out of the current Uzbek pro boxers. He is not only strong and athletic, he also has versatility, awkward style, plus he has some unexpectedness to the way he boxes. So watch out, Madrimov will take over soon.
Tulaganov is another worthy of mentioning IMO Madrimov is the pick of the bunch, then Bek, Dusmatov, Tulaganov, Ergashev and Giyasov In that order Also there's the guy who was robbed vs Postol
Bob, I've only seen Madrimov but to me he looked like a real talent. I can see him going straight to the top and possibly even beating some of the top guys around right now. Interestingly, he reminded me of both Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, in that he likes to play counter puncher with creative and fluid shots, but also moves in and out with his left hand from a southpaw stance. I haven't seen anything Giyasov and Melikuziev, but I'll keep my eye out.
I like these guys Madrimov is really gifted although sometimes wild. I'd like to see him jab more to camo his big shots. Melikuziev is a vicious body punching southpaw. Not as flashy but bad ###. Giyasov needs to develop a jab. Hes like a less gifted Madrimov
Madrimov is the one. Giyasov has skated on thin ice already a couple of times. Looks very talented, just needs to make a few adjustments, seen Melikuziev a few times, looks good but undecided on him at the moment.
