How did it do PPV wise? I'm hopeful that the boxing on sky thing is taking off with renewed vigour now they've put it on Saturday nights, so was just wondering. I know theirs probably been other threads on the same subject but I really couldn't be arse'd to scroll through the pages of the forum.
Nothing out yet that i'm aware of. They tend to only realise PPV numbers if they're outstanding and way better then expected though. I'd guess it did pretty well. nothing crazy, but broke even. Hard to get big numbers without an established, recognised name in a big fight though because you need to draw those casuals.
Warren said he was doing the Anniversary show a couple of months ago so I wouldn't take anything from that.
Frank said that he will almost certainly lose money on the show. But then again when does he actually make money from these shows? He is always losing money if he is to be believed.
It'll be known within a couple of weeks. It won't have made a great deal, but enough to keep everyone paid. Frank likes to say that the event is almost certain to lose money so that he can keep the purses in check.
Keepin the purses in check is where it is at...:good You don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate...:deal
