Magee is a big mouth? Magee goes missing after fights rarely see him get interviewed never mind having a big mouth. He also works the body very well and was giving Froch a real tough time until Froch landed a cracking shot.

 

That 'irish tit' as you call him is a absolute gentleman. Ive never heard Magee bad mouth anyone amateur or pro, and i know theres a few guys on these forums who will verify this. A quiet guy who keeps himself to himself. Im not sure what the threadstarter is getting at here myself as its not completely clear to me who hes having the pop at but for you to call a guy a 'tit' because why? Because he accepted a world title fight? Smacks of ignorance to me. What did you want him to say? No?

 

He is in the top 10 of 3 governing bodies. 1 and 2 with the two main bodies, so yes, he is a bonafide contender

bottom line, no matter what magee is ranked, he sucks, never has beaten anyone of note...and sucks....and sucks... and no one gives a **** about this fight.....

 

Dirrel and Ward had beaten anyone of note before the Super 6.

Most of the super 6 were nothing before the tournament began. Abraham was not a SMW and his opposition at MW was poor. Dirrell was not a top ten. Ward was about number 8. Taylor was shot and has never proved himself as a top SMW.

You're a marketing victim if you think that the super six are the 6 best fighters of the category. First, the super 6 doesn't exist anymore: 3 of them are not in it. Second, Ward fought Allan Green and Sakio Bka in his 2 last fights, which is not better than Bute's opponents (he beat Bika in a better fashion than Ward).

Bute will face at least a couple of super 6 fighters in the next months. That's why Showtime signed him.

Agreed. I for one was surprized that he was able to win Mads Larsen. He's still a big under-dog against Bute, but the fight is legitimate and understadable.

 

I don't think that many people have really seen Bute. I've been following him for a number of years, and I'm not Canadian or Romanian. Very impressive fighter, and to me he was making noise in the 168lb division during a time when Joe Calzaghe looked to have not a single fighter at SMW who could give him much trouble.

 

What the **** are you smoking??? Ruiz and Harrison number !? So are you suggesting a number 1 or a number 2 contender doesnt deserve a shot? Have you even watched him fight? A top notch pedigree at amatuer schooling the likes of jeff lacey and a decent enough pro career with only 3 losses in near 40 fights, 1 of which was to a guy who is arguabley the best in the division and another to a guy who IMO beat Calzaghe and never got the decision. Yeah right, a tomato can.
