Magee: "Bute just pips Froch"

    Magee is a solid fighter. He's in the same class as say a Jesse Brinkley or a Fulgencio Zuniga, but he's a solid fighter and by no means a bum or a sucky fighter. He's defo not a good-great fighter that we all would like Bute to fight, but nonetheless he's a decent opponent.

    I like Ward, Bute and Froch as fighters, there's no denying their skills. Believe it or not, I was having a 'pop' at hardcore/blind Froch fans... despite Froch's resume, and despite the fact Froch took him out in their fight, Magee puts Bute ahead of him. Is he hyping his own fight or is making an actual case for Bute having superior skills/abilities than good ol' Carl?

    Magee thinks he's going the distance, Bute is thinking of trying to stop him in the first. I think they're actually underestimating each other to some extent.

    My bad, didn't mean to tag him as an all-out big mouth, he wasn't even talking about himself. "Bute just pips Froch" just doesn't sound right to me.

    You've been, and you're still hammering on a point that can't be changed before the S6 ends. It's not like Taylor, Kessler or Dirrell are available for this fight, it's not like Sartison wasn't scared of coming to Canada to fight Bute, it's not like Bute's fit enough to move between 168 & 175 easily enough to be competitive in both divisions at the same time, and it's not like Pavlik is 100% ready for a big fight. Who the **** else did you see as a credible opponent for Bute? This always has been a stay busy fight for Bute, STFU with your blind hatred.

    Those guys doesn't really hate Magee they just dissing him because they hate Bute too much!

    Yeah. A stay busy fight before either Kessler/Dirrell/Pavlik in the summer, and the S6 winner late 2011 / early 2012. That's my take on it anyway, with all that was said by both Bute/Interbox and Hershman.

    I bloody well hope so , I like Bute but this had better be the end of these marking time , Calzaghe-esque defences.

    I dont know why Pavlik , Kess or Direll has to wait till late in the year , he's pissing away his peak ! ( unless there are contractual difficulties I dont know about )

    You got to love some guys on here.

    Magee is an 'Irish tit' and a 'Big Mouth' and 'sucks'

    These guys not only have never seen the guy being interviewed but have most likely never seen him fight.

    Magee is known as one of the quietest unassuming guys on the scene and very respectful.

    Who is available that makes a better match up than Magee?

    really ? well fair enough I havent seen his last two , and he looked good enough beating McGuire but then older fighters can often flatter to deceive against guys they can handle.

    I hope he gives Bute a fight alright
