I think Sartison vs Balzsay is already set to go. I actually made a thread about it last weekend.

Neither is Danish, but Magee has made a name there by beating two of their domestic stars. If he beats Balszay, it pretty much locks him into an eventual shot there at Kessler.

Lots of "away fighters" do this, have a whole run of appearances in a particular country they aren't native to after competing there once and proving to be a hit with the locals.

Emanuel Augustus in Australia, Nate Campbell in Russia, Welliver in China, etc.

Wasn't Gary Shaw trying to do something similar with Chad Dawson? Build his up as a star in Canada? (Obviously Pascal ruined that)

I hope Magee makes good money, he deserves a comftorble life after Boxing

Another good example. Germany is NOTORIOUS for inviting foreign pugilists to "stay awhile, and get comfy". :yep

Right, but that reminds me of another example - Librado Andrade. HUGE star in Canada. :good

Yeah. Nice guy, perennial underdog, good work ethic and some nice crowd-pleasing body punches.

He might even get cheered entering the ring against Kessler.

He definately has a few closet Dane fans

I like that. Screw home advantage (wich we know by now is a huge advantage)
Why should Yanks have to fight in the US, Krauts in Germany, Limeys in the UK etc? Look at Bute for instance, he only fought twice -as far as I know- in his homeland (Romania)... the example of a world traveller :yep :stir

Its part of nordic fight night, which is a 5 year contract that Sauerland Events has signed with nordic TV networks.

They will be putting on good fights like this every now and then to give the networks something.

I think its a good fight between two fighters who knows their trade and seem evenly matched, but why is it being mentioned for nordic fight night?
