No, what I meant was before the fight lots of ppl thought Hatton could win, by KO or UD. But after the fight ppl started saying he was too small to fight Floyd when the truth is no one felt that way before & Hatton is only 2 inches shorter & outweighed PBF by 10+ pounds. After the fight, everyone can say he didnt belong in the ring with Floyd. But before the fight, he was a top 10 p4p guy, had a big fan base, what more can Floyd ask for?
I think that if he loses he should quit but Oscar is no fool. He knows that Hatton has a huge fanbase and one that's willing to shell out money to see him fight. Even if this fight ends in defeat, I'd still bet on Hatton v DLH selling out the City Of Manchester stadium. Call it a 'farewell' bout or whatever but it will earn them both a fair bit of lucre.
Nah, if Hatton loses this is it. DLH will have no valid reason to fight Hatton. He wont be considered the best at 140, or even a top 10 fighter. With PacMan, he can say that Pac is the best fighter in the world, with Hatton, he'll have no claim. Oscar would get completely ridiculed for fighting another small man. Plus I dont think that the Brits will buy into it, they'll most likely just see it as a mismatch & not even waste their money on it, besides they know what the result will be. I know for a fact that Americans will refuse to buy this fight. If Hatton loses, no way will he fight DLH next.
It ain't about prestige with some people.....it's about cash. I may be wrong but I think they'd still make a packet. I'm sure Oscar would look into it before making a call.
If he loses, only way this fight comes off is if its at 140 & Hatton beats someone good in between this fight. Sooner or later tha fans arent gonna buy into this money mega fights stuff.
He stopped him big styleeeeee!! You hearing me Boyee !! (and you Uppercut) What a lovely bit of gloating long after the event
I think Paulie is done! The issues with the hand killed him.. He fights scared now like he is fighting a friend or something afraid to let his hands go...
The hand was an excuse. There's nothing wrong with it and he admitted that himself. He's just not as good as people thought he was and Hatton was underestimated, as usual.
