Poor form aint it? The script has always been 'he's taken easy money fights on his brothers undercards' now he's taken a tougher route than most would have entertained he's still getting slated. As an aside, if he holds on a little longer , he may get offered the Khan fight at about 143/4. Khan's gotta be running out of options.
I'm no fan of either Hatton, but I think he's made a brave choice here. Alvarez looks a LOT better than him, so he'll need to do something special to win. That should be applauded.
i've seen alvarez a couple of times and tbh i don't see what all the fuss is about. he'll be too good for matty hatton but i have real doubts on how he will get on when he fights a world class opponent inb there prime. but i suppose he is young and has alot of learning to do. alvarez to win this on points
Fair play to Hatton, I'm not a fan of his but it's good to see him stepping up and taking a chance. I'm not really on the Alvarez hype-train, he hasn't looked that good from what I've seen. But whoever is build him up and matching him with fights, is doing a great job for this stage in his career IMO. He's fightin at a nice level for his age, nothing to risky but good learning fights as well.
I`m impressed that he took this fight, unless he takes one hell of a beating he has nothing to lose and a reputation to gain from this.
Can't believe the hate he is getting here. Did anyone read boxing news the other week? Matt Hatton said he used to read boxing forums until he read one and someone said they saw him kick a tramp when he was on the floor and he thought what a load of bollocks then loads of other people were coming on saying yeah I saw that as well and I heard about it. Haha, made me laugh. I reckon he'll be stopped by the ref in about the 7th round though.
Sound like it might be true then, doesn't it? The word of loads of witnesses v Matt "Tramp Kicker" Hatton's version of events......hmmmm.......I know who i'd believe.:hey
whats with all the hate for a fighter?!?! people complaining about him having it easy then when he steps up they say its a mistake, i hope he gets smashed etc? he will lose, but fair play and good luck
