Magnificent 7 on SBO or Saturday Fight Night for 7 weeks on Skysports?

the public have heard there name's abit more now with the promotion of the big box office event's and now if they started to headline there own saturday night show's they would pull in more viewers.

 

good point, i feel the likes of Kell brook is living in the shadow of clev and degale perhaps to the point where frank is not doing the best for his carreer.
the last box office job was only justified by the khan fight, an eight fight novice fighting for a british title does not justifie no matter how good he is.

 

I think it dilutes their individual performances and if they top their on bills there would be more pressure to make a reasonable matches. On big shows the mismatches are more abundant.

 

for the casual fans the big shows would be better.

for us, fight nights please.

 

I'd rather it as it is.

I am out most Saturday nights with one thing or another and would miss most live.

Don't mind coming home early once in a while but I can't be doing it every week.

For the record, as soon as Frank as a fighter at elite level, they'll be ppv-ing themselves, he won't be 'wasting' his whole stable on undercards then.

This is short pain long term gain for him.

 

I agree with Grant. At the moment Warren is getting his PPVs by stacking the cards because the doesn't have a star to support a PPV on there own.

As soon as that changes it'll be back to business as usual.

 

does Frank have enough Sky slots to have each of the names headlining their own shows and fighting regularly?

If the mag 7 was 7 Saturday Fight Nights then that would have taken Frank from September till around Jan/Feb to put all those shows on.

 

Long live the supercard , for the time being for me , if he can get them out often enough (4 months apart would be my threshold limit) then thats whats hot right now , and why change a good thing .

On the matching , i think Cleverly and Macklin have been matched superbly well thus far , Brook not so much but thats understandable given the world WW scene and Jennings was supposed to be a close fight .

De Gale a British champ already , Smith another headline , and Bellew getting a big fright ,

Frank has done a great job on the match making , i like the supercard format at the moment

 

Sky ought to give him the dates to put them on..... a lot of the fights Hearn puts on aren't really of interest to lots of people.

Barry seems more interested in darts and snooker these days.....

 

Warrens current headliners for a Saturday FN would IMO consist of :

Cleverley
De Gale
Burns
Brook

Then you have the Smith bros and Bellew supporting SFN's in Liverpool , Macklin is a great supporting co main to any event , Mitchell is on the comeback trail , providing he wins a couple of decent outings he becomes relevant again .

Its about fighters having enough pull to headline a Saturday show on there own , without a strong undercard , not a lot of them are there right now

 

Liam Walsh is going a show so guys like Macklin, Bellew and SMith would be fine.

 

Would you go massively out of your way to see any of the afor mentioned 3 top a bill on a Saturday night , im not sure i would .

Good solid fighters yes , but as it stands there not headliners for Saturday fight nights IMO , Fridays yes but not Saturdays .

Now , you put Swifty , Paul and Bellew on together and throw in the likes of Joe Selkirk and other popular Liverpool fighters you have a Saturday night show ............... , or you add Macklin to any card and its a usefull addition and strengthens that card significantly
