    The Fight

    Quite possibly one of the sleeper fights of the night, as Barker vs Macklin and other domestic clashes are getting all the attention. Maccarinelli vs Frenkel will almost certainly exceed the minimul hype it has created.

    Maccarinelli went on a tough run a few years back, demolished in a mega unification fight with long time rival David Haye, followed by back to back stoppages to Ola Alafoabi and Dennis Lebedev. All 3 have gone on to prove they are top class fighters, while Maccarinelli set out on a rebuilding job.

    He wen't to Russia and took apart Alexander Kotoblay in 1 round, reminding us all that Enzo still has the punch to trouble anyone. The question on everyones lips, is Enzo trully back to his best, or was Kotoblay a complete hype job?

    Frenkel comes to the UK with a similar record to Kotoblay. He is undefeated with a high KO percentage, and has recieved high praise in Germany where he is seen as a top prospect ranked in the top 10 by all 4 governing bodies.. He is a boxer/pucnher, does nothing spectacular but can clearly bang.

    The fight can go a lot of way but it almost certainly will not go the distance. Enzo will either be to much for the inexpirienced Frenkel who has never been beyond 8 rounds, or Frenkel's youth and power will be finnish of Maccarinelli once and for all.

    thanks for posting the video, hadn't previously seen anything of frenkel. Tbh that opponent doesn't give us much of a clue as to how he'd fare vs enzo but maccarinelli definitely seems to have improved. Keeping his concnetration, staying on the outside behind his jab and using his great body punching would see him wear frenkel down and stopping it very late on imo. Should be a good fight to watch

    I can assure you, Eric Fields decimated Davis in a similar fashion, don't buy into the 'ex-World champ' bollocks.

    Frenken's alright, but I'm not sold on him. He definitely has the power to spark Enzo, but I'm going with Enzo's greater experience and the fact he knows he HAS to win to will him on and for him to take the lad out.

    Although Frenkel KO within five rounds is most definitely not out of the question.

    i was a bit hasty and voted for Frenkel stoppage; before even looking at the footage. after watching that im leaning more to a Enzo stoppage. but i think he'll have to do it early or i think it would mirror the Alafoabi fight (he was winning that before he got KO'd wasnt he?) and he'll get dropped with a big shot late on. would love to see him win though.

    another point, and im sorry if this has been mentioned a ton of times before, but what order are the fights in? i.e who is the headlining fight?

    I doubt that :think I reckon Broadhurst and Heffron (is he on the bill, I thought he was lol) will be first out, then Gavin. Then it could go in any order I suppose, but I thought Macklin v Barker was the headliner.

    Well that's slightly disappointing if true. Macklin-Barker was the fight I was most looking forward to, probably the most genuine 50-50 fight on the bill with Brook-Jennings. It's always nice to end the night with the best fight :huh I think Clev-Murat will be a pretty straight forward fight after looking at Murat.

    i would also think that the majority of fans will turn up espeically to see the Macklin-Barker scrap. i am really buzzing for it though after seeing the whole list.
