For me the only two fights worth watching are Chisora v Sexton and Jennings v Brook this is a decent Saturday night card not a PPV, although I think I speak for a lot of fans that I would have purchesed the PPV if Rhodes and Barker didn't pull out It's a shame and no fault of Warrens who will surely lose a lot on this bill with the withdrawels, especially with all the advertising i've heard must have cost a fortune but I can't see this doing good PPV numbers
Yeh may I suggest Tennis or Darts. Cleverly vs Murat is a 50-50 between two top 15 Light Heavyweights. The winner will gatecrash the top 10. Frenkel vs Enzo is a shoot out between two top 15 Cruiserweights. The winner will also gatecrash the top 10. Hall vs Konecny. As much as I don't rate Hall, he is great fun to watch. The fight is a shoot out again both sluggers. Will be fight of the night DeGale vs Dilks. DeGales first major step up, a a very intresting fight especially with DeGales weight problems.
I dont think Macklin vs Barker or Rhodes would have brought that many more fans to the table. No one on the card is known outside the boxing circles.
I agree here. There is no huge name. Most of these are small hall fighters at the moment. Does anyone outside of hardcore boxing fans really care what happens to Clev, Enzo, Small, De Gale?
The PPV model is usually based on fame rather than outright talent. The majority of fans will buy into Khan, Haye versus Harrison, Hatton etc. De Gale? Small? Fans will ask Who? They have got away with this due to the number of fights. It's not magnificent seven more the young ones coming through.
Yeah maybe darts or Tennis becasue I can watch all four major Championships in Tennis for no extra charge and all Darts tournaments as well Yeah the fighs you have mentioned are decent although Murat is overrated, Degale has to much for Dilks and if you think Enzo is a top 15 Cruiserweight anymore than you're the one who needs to watch a new sport It's a decent card but a PPV needs a big main event and this hasn't got it so my money is staying in my pocket
I'd rather pay £15 for a stacked card like this, than a main event supported by mismatches and Eurobums everywhere. It's not quite the card that was planned, but barring any last minute disaster it's still easily the best PPV I can remember. Mayweather vs Hatton had a **** undercard, both domestically and in America..... as did the Malignaggi and Pacquiao fights. The Lazcano undercard was **** too. This show doesn't really have an undercard, it's good action from start to finish on paper.
Are you saying its not PPV worthy for you personally or that it won't do well as a PPV in general? (Genuine question)
I heard that if you don't think that it's worth the PPV money then there's an option not to buy it. You can always watch X Factor while you wait for the results to come in. Personally, I think this is one of the best value PPVs for ages.
