Blood clot in the brain makes that a ready target for his next bout. Not sure I would allow him to fight again. You can always recover from a broken hand but a brain injury? That's scary.

blood clot in the brain blocks the oxygen delivery to that certain area. it has to be quickly resolved or a person suffers a brain damage.

Mago showed tremendous heart. It is a real shame that he had a blood clot in his brain, and I have to imagine that will make it very hard for him to continue fighting in the future.

The injuries clearly had an effect on his ability to fight, and while he may have not won, the fight might have been closer had he not broken his hand. I wish him well, and hope he is able to continue his career.

Damn, he had a blood clot in his brain and the main concern was his hand?

He's now been put into a medically induced coma.

I said after 7 rounds they should have stopped the fight. The doctors and his trainer should be ashamed of themselves

I'm told Magomed Abdusalamov is now stable in the ICU. He was in a medically induced coma after suffering injuries in the fight w/ Perez.

I hope he recovers well and makes the right choices wether he should carry on boxing or not. The guys cornermen must be feeling like **** at the moment. We have all been in corners where we have had to consider throwing in the towel, but most of us get lucky when we hold back from actually doing it. Sometimes we dont. I wont be placing my judgement on these cornermen. They probably just got so caught up in the emotion of the fight, and we all know how that can happen dont we?

This was also one of those situations where Mago was landing just enough to give himself hope and was damaging Perez himself. Not making excuses for his corner, but it's harder to throw in the towel on your guy if they're having some success as opposed to none at all. Hopefully he recovers well, regardless of whether he continues boxing or not.
