I thought Byarm was gonna win tonight but somehow,Mago did it again by knock out. Mago isn't as crude as I remember. He has good speed, and good accuracy as well as great power. I was thinking it would be a Byarm mid rounds TKO but I suppose Mago DID improve his boxing ability a little and perhaps Byarm is not as strong as the Emperor once thought.

In his last ESPN2 FNF bout, Mago seemed easier to hit but tonight he was on his game.
This win enters him in officially as a guy not to be taken lightly by anyone.

I say Bryant Jennings vs Magomed next. That is a fight! Boxer vs Puncher.

*Mago stops Povetkin and Boytsov today, tomorrow and forever.

Travis Walker pulled out of a fight last winter with an injury. Make that happen. I heard someone say Shane Cameron. MIchael Grant comes to mind or even Jameel McCline.

Or give him some rounds with Oliver McCall. He sparred with Mago last year and called of the sparring after two rounds.

I think getting him some rounds at this point is most crucial.

That's why Jennings should fight him.

    :good

Literally, my EXACT same feelings. . .

I think he needs to test the waters against another dangerous puncher, with some decent athletic ability as well. . .

Byarm had power and boxing skill. Why not fight Jennings?

He has what I call "just good" power. . . But not that explosive, concussive power that a Walker, or Grant has. . . Although it could actually be a step BACK from Byarm in terms of overall ability, I just want to see how his chin, and composure would hold under some heavy artillery from an offensive powerhouse (although fairly crude) like Walker. . .

ANd I suggest Grant, because of his height. . He needs to experience that drastic length/height dynamic that are often a part of HW fights.

Grant is so inactive it's crazy! Last time he fought was against Botha. Botha already had another fight after his loss to Grant.

Jennings could pose some big problems with his fleetness of foot, and hand speed. . . And he has very dexterous feet as well. . . Moves laterally very well, which seems like it could be a problem for Mago. . .

But he's going to have to experience it sooner or later anyway, and I don't condone ducking/avoiding boxers for the most favorable matchups. . .

It's a 50/50 fight in my eyes. . Bring it on!

He's fought twice in the past year. . . Not that inactive. . .

But if the idea is a KLitschko in the next 2 years, then it is ESSENTIAL he fights some tall guys with a stiff jab.

As of now,the last time Grant fought was like 7 months ago which is not ideal for a supposed hungry fighter who wants a title shot. I say Yes to Jennings vs Mago 100%. Grant is an interesting fight but,he is 100 years old and he was actually losing to Botha in that last fight so...

It is so rare for prospects to face one another at this stage. I am sure both management teams have plans for the immediate future that do not include each other.

I just mentioned Magomed to Bryant Jennings on Twitter and he responded by basically saying he is already passed fighters on Magomed's level.
