Must be traumatic for Perez to know he did this. For all the B.S. talk, no one goes into a fight looking to severely hurt their opponent.
I won some money on this fight. Had to give it all back as a donation. Id urge everyone to give something. Hopefully he continues his recovery.
I didn't bet on the fight, but I had to donate as well. It's a terrible situation and it's a travesty that boxing still doesn't have the safeguards in place to protect warriors from themselves adequately.
I feel sorry for Mago's family and his kids especially, so heart breaking. I feel proud of Mago thou. What a fighter he was. Dude didnt have alot of skills but that determination and heart what he showed against Perez even he was bad shape half of the fight. Some fighter there. Watching Mago now and thinkin what he once was and what his life most likely will be I hate to say but he might have been better of dead... That is no life to live.:verysad
It's not a spinal cord injury so he WILL get better. At least he's looking like a stroke victim, who tend to make more recovery than spinal cord victims. Mago can hug his children, smile, kiss his wife. His range of motion will continue to improve and so will his social skills. Im actually happy seeing this video since the last I heard in spring is he was not sitting up and only moving his fingers as sign of yes no, etc.:good
Michael Watson actually ended up making a pretty good recovery from an equivalent style injury. Lets hope he can do the same.
