This fight was announced today at the Stevens-Golovkin presser.

It will be in New York on Nov 2, and will be the first fight on the Golovkin-Stevens telecast on HBO.

Mago by savage beating. He should move up to the WBC top 3 after this fight. He is close to a title shot.

    Excellent fight!

I think Perez is clearly the more skilled fighter, so I hope he takes it, but Mago's aggressiveness & power are always a factor. Neither one of these guys is destined for greatness, but the winner of this fight will be an important opponent for the guys that are.

    Can't wait for this one.

Yes, it's a very good HBO doubleheader.

Abdusalamov will have problems with Perez, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets knocked out.

theres only a few heavyweights out there i would pick to maybe beat mago and perez isn't one of them.

mago gets beat up for a few rounds but he gets perez out of there soon after the 5th round.good fight while it lasts.

Mago isn't fighting some lard-ass prying themselves off their lazyboys to collect a bum paycheck (and still struggles to beat might I add), he's fighting someone with legit skills and unfortunately 12 round stamina. Mago outboxed to a lopsided UD or gets stopped late due to an accumlation of punishment.

Perez can bang and Mago has poor defence...Either one lands first the fights over....Perez wins being more skillful with better defence.
