Magomed Abdusalamov's career had been set back by inactivity, but he now has a smart manager in Sampson Lewkowicz and lately has been fighting about once a month. Abdusalamov (11-0, 11 KOs) will be facing American Rich Power (15-1, 11 KOs) tonight in Las Vegas. It will be interesting to see if Magomed can keep his KO streak going. Power has never been stopped, losing one decision to Tyson Fury.
Abdulsalamov can punch! Man, I am glad he found some good management and is getting the fights he needs. Now if we can only do the same for Bogdan Dinu, and get Glazkov back on track (he had 5-6 fights cancelled this year). The fighters are out there, they just need access to fights.
Very true. Other decent young heavyweights who've been poorly managed include: Oleg Platov: he looked the best I've ever seen him in his fight with Gbenga Oloukun but he hasn't fought since Ondrej Pala: fought once this year against someone he'd already beaten Denis Boytsov: he's been healthy and ready to fight since April, but has fought only one soft opponent this year Mike Perez: after impressively winning prizefighter, was inactive until fighting short-notice journeyman Zack Page who he'd already beaten Michael Wallisch: after an impressive win over 27-0 Yakup Saglam, he was inactive until his first round KO over a very soft opponent on Friday I hate to see fighters being poorly managed.
I agree! Very exciting heavy...Very powerful (10 of 11 KO's in first round!)with both hands and has been in great shape lately coming down from as high as 263 in his first pro fight to 229 and 233 lbs in his last two! Great indication of his late dedication and newfound team who will guide him to a title shot!

Abdusalamov stopped Rich Power in round 3. Power went down after some hard shots, beat the count, and the fight continued. But Power was wobbly and defenseless and was taking more shots, so the referee stopped it.
