Heavyweight-Valero? - Southpaw - Powerful - Lots of KOs in the amateurs, but only national titles Abdusalamov looks good. Nice Handspeed for his Weight. Timing and Power are great.
Yes. Something else: many people thought Fury's last two fights were early stoppages - in contrast, some observers thought tonight's stoppage was late - that the referee shouldn't have let it continue when Power got up on wobbly legs and was in a daze, because he couldn't defend himself at all and took some unnecessary shots at the end.
Kid looks promising for sure, and dropping the weight is a milestone and a testament to his dedication. Looks like he's willing and ABLE to take few to land that ONE, unfortunately for his foes, he's got that STR8 L like Corrie Sanders, and that's the only one it takes.:deal Seriously though......I know he's already 31 y/o, and not yet proven vs Cclass yet, but the comparison to a 25-30 y/o Sanders could easily be made.:think
It will be interesting to see who his next few opponents will be. I'd like to see Magomed in with some decent journeymen like Maurice Harris, Damian Wills and Manuel Quezada.
Abdusalamov's weight tonight ( 228¾ ) was the lowest of his pro career. Very good weight for a 6'3'' fighter.
That's good news, because in his first fights he seemed a bit chubby. I'd like to see him against another prospect, Deontay Wilder like they've said above would be nice (although I doubt GBP would allow it to happen).
