from bokser.org: Magomed Abdusalamov is to face former Olympian and bronze medalist of the Pan-American games, Puerto Rico's Victor Bisbal (21-1, 15 KO). Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz informed that both fighters have accepted the terms of the contract, and will fight on either 8th March on ESPN, or a week later on a card in Panama anyone know more about Bisbal? his record and KO % look good, but I don't know anything about him. anyone?
His brother is a fat **** who boxes for the Mexico Guerreros in the WSB If they are similar in any way, shape or form, then Abdusalamov is in for an easy KO
Don't know anything about him, record looks okay, give him credit for stepping up as I doubt many will want Abdusalamov.
Bisbal is a good keep busy and build up fight for Mago, but I don`t believe he will be able to compete. Mago will finish him within 2 rds.
Mago turns down a Glazkov fight because he "doesnt have enough of a name and isnt accomplished enough" yet fights Bisbal, makes sense. Slava is more accomplished than you.
It really would. :bbb He's exactly the type of opponent needed, to see if Wilder can handle a real pressure fighter with power. Mago's defense is waaay too sloppy to handle Wilder's power for long, but if he could push him into the ropes and start landing bombs right away, especially to Wilder's body, he'd have a decent chance. Imagine if GBP could make this fight happen, this year? It would be like Price fighting Fury. - but don't hold your breath for either fight.
Same here. An aggressive fighter with massive power is ALWAYS a threat. Plus, while Mago's defense is still virtually non-existent, he does seem to possess decent offensive ring smarts. He knows how to move his opponent around the ring, and he's good at changing up his attack & keeping his opponent from timing him. He's also deceptively fast, in small spurts. Mago is very far from just a mindless brawler, like, say, Szpilka.
The positives...He's an aggressive, heavy handed sharp shooter who paces himself suprisingly well. He also possesses an underated chin and decent head movement. The negatives... He has absolutely no jab, his power is overrated and he tends to headhunt waaaaay too much. He'll give fans some entertaining fights but I don't see him beating anyone in the top 20 so his upside will be a bit limited...given his age.
He headhunts too much? I don't agree with that at all. Very decent body attack. Even in the am's he had a decent body attack.
