According to Dan Rafael he had to have a piece of his skull removed, brain surgery, to remove the clot :-(
Actually, it was to relieve the swelling of his brain..............I still remember Gerald McClellen...........and so many others...........
This is a scary situation but the fact that it seems like the doctors put him into a coma before he went into one and that they've now done some surgery to help correct the problem is hopeful. I'm sure he's getting very good medical care and I hope he can pull through.
Toughts are with him, what a brave performance with all those injuries, wrist, cheekbone etc and now this. Praying for your man, pull it out with big heart of yours.
100% correct. As Mago's nose and face continued to swell, as it became clear that his energy levels were fading because of the damage to his face, his corner should have pulled the plug. Bad enough to let your fighter take a beating when he isn't exhausted, even worse when he clearly is running on empty.
You mean when Kellerman was heckling Wlad during the fight? When you see things like this, how can anyone blame people like Floyd or Wlad for being smart and winning without the punishment?
The thing about these types of wars is can cost both winner and loser, so for a long career best to win ugly and avoid any pyrrhic victories.
what a pathetic loser you are turning the shift against Perez with the low blows. You probably are among those who believe Lara thumbed Angulo's eye. Mike beat the crap out of mago and he took his share of punishment himself because mago was there the whole fight. Stop the excuses.
Well aware. Perez took plenty of big shots himself, and his face wasn't so pretty post fight. Better to be smart and have a long and successful career, than throw caution to the wind and get yourself battered.
You want to read something about this fight which is ridiculous, check out the supposed boxing writer Michael Woods blog on espn.com. He claims from his ringside seat he saw nothing out of the ordinary regarding Mago. For ****s sake I wasn't ringside per se,but certainly close enough to observe that as early as the 2nd round,Mago was pawing his jaw and orbital area and by the 4th round his face had blown out of porportion and swelling. Mago's corner was totally inept and the ref should take some blame as well. Just ridiculous.:-(
Didn't notice anything? Has this man ever watched boxing? The plug should have been pulled in the fifth or sixth, his jaw was clearly broken in the 4th.
