El Misil de Macuro was rocked there in the final minute of round ten, hammered repeatedly into a corner with overhand rights slung by Night Wolf blindly from a deep bow forward, but he survived.

Both men appeared quite weary in that last frame but were still churning out a pretty hefty pace.

Magomed Alievich Madiev vs. Omar José García González, 10 rounds @ middleweight

 

Round 1 & 2 - ??

Tech. difficulties, as per usual with Patriot Boxing Promotions. The camera operator literally just stopped recording directly after the ring walks (or neglectfully allowed the battery to run out) - feed cut out from the intros until R3.

 

Round 3

Madiev is jabbing the body & then flicking a feint up top and turning González with a little dip inside, head bobbing out to his left before he periscopes up and catches the retaliatory 1-2 of González on his guard. Madiev is rocked momentarily off-balance with a well-timed pair of straight blasts from González, who took aim in anticipatory fashion and caught Madiev circling. Madiev recovers immediately and begins sniping with right hands on the body diving in.

Round 4

González steeples his gloves over his face and flanges his elbows out wide beyond his chest's edges, then shuffles laterally a few steps to his left with his guard lowered into a more relaxed stance before reassembling it up high as Madiev flinches to feign an up-jab off the hip. Lots of posing in the middle of the ring, both men feinting & counter-feinting, game of not-so-violent chess at the moment. González catches Madiev on the brow with a pair of long jabs snapped out in quick succession while floating clockwise with a breezy gait. Madiev the one coming forward but not opening up, just watching & reacting as González alternates between spiraling away until nearly at the corner and then double-jabbing his way in, sometimes following up with a dagger-thrust right hand in the abdomen falling in.

Round 5

González is doubling up on his jab, now coming forward & forcing Madiev to retreat by plowing beneath his guard and into his rib cage with a push-broom right hand. Madiev tries twisting his body around counterclockwise and dipping himself inside shoulder-first to make himself a smaller target and slip González's jabs to the face and rights to the body while setting up his own body attack, but González simply chisels painfully into Madiev's bicep with the right hand instead - not scoring but making him rethink his strategy. Madiev comes forward straight-on and manages to lay a 1-2 on González, slightly hurting him briefly. González then rallies and reestablishes his long jab at mid-range, using lots of movement to mire Madiev in one spot as though stuck in quicksand. Madiev tires of these shenanigans and charges at González with a big left & right uppercut combo, grazing González with both and driving him into the ropes.

10-9 González, no steal despite the flashy attempt by Madiev to "SRL it".

 

Round 6

González is juking & jiving, left hand cradled low on his lead thigh and right arm in an invisible elevated sling with his fist glued to his chin and elbow swinging around rhythmically. Madiev cracks him with a jab & chopping right from his own low-left-lead stance, and González has to hold. Madiev is shuffling to his right now, and seems to be putting a bit of a scare into González by attacking from his weaker side. González boxing very carefully now, very few punches, just some light stay-away jabs. Madiev lets the moment pass by not mounting any offense for close to a minute, however, and González is emboldened to step in and poke with jabs & rights while standing up tall on his toes at mid-range before slinking back outside into a wide squat. Madiev grinds his way in and scores a couple of short glancing hooks that have González fleeing.
