Taking place tomorrow (probably about this exact time of day) in Makhachkala. Madiev is 10-0 (4) and González 10-0 (8) - so barring a NC or draw, somebody's W column goes to eleven, while somebody else's 0 must go! This should air on the Patriot Boxing Promotions channel on YouTube (here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKcm40yqBPBPxv38rRckJ1A) as did the card for Shishkin vs. Khomitsky a couple of weeks ago. If that event is any indication, coverage of the full undercard is likely but watch out for technical difficulties... Madiev - originally from Makhachkala but now residing in Chekhkov - is yet another young Russian crossover from kickboxing, in which he was a regional (all-Dagestani) champion. He is scheduled to box twelve full rounds for the first time in his career (wetting his feet with 10-rounders last year by claiming the vacant WBA middleweight Asian title), and has previously fought all but once in Moscow. González - originally from Venezuela but now residing in Mexico (in which pair of countries all of his bouts have been contained) - is ½" taller and has previously fought at super middle & light heavyweight exclusively...and only in 4- and 6-rounders. Omar José García González vs. Luis Carlos García: (precious little footage of him) This content is protected Magomed Alievich Madiev vs. Jeyson Minda: This content is protected
IB Funfact: the last time somebody from the North Caucasus fought somebody from Venezuela is when Isa Chaniev upset Ismael Barroso, a month ago tomorrow.
I’m actually not too sure on a stream for this one. I’ll try to do some research later tonight. Ironically, I’ll be on a plane to Russia tomorrow for the World Cup so I’ll actually be missing this but hopefully there’ll be a stream replay for me to watch when I land lol
Also Garcia seems to have an extremely padded record lol so barring something hugely unexpected, I think Madiev should win fairly easily.
If I had to guess, I would say the event will be live streamed on this page. This event is apparently apart of a larger amateur tournament (similar to the Shishkin-Khomitsky bout) and it’s live streamed the past few days of the tournament. Judging from the poster on the page, the event should start around 7PM local time (not 100% sure), which is around noon eastern time. Main event will probably be sometime after that assuming I’m not totally off with the times https://vk.com/rusboxing
