gg rules aren't always like AIBA rules, but I did just happen across this in the AIBA AOB competition rules. looks like even after the olympics they decided to keep allowing pros. but I think its for major games like continentals, pan ams, olymics, etc. McGregor would have to be ranked by a pro organization, boxrec AND have a winning record ...

Non-APB Professionals
• Title holder from one of the major professional organisations (WBC, IBF, WBA or WBO)
• Previous medal holder from an Olympic Games or AIBA World Championship
• Previous participant in an Olympic Games
• Must be within the top 8 from a professional unified ranking (BoxRec or FightFax)
• Must be within the top 10 on the individual ranking from one of the major professional organisations
• Hold a winning record (more wins than losses)
