    It recently dawned upon me how much superior HBO´s production was to everyone else. PBC tried to emulate it and did so effectively, but only in the beginning.
    I remember how disappointing it was when HBO did a rebrand and introduced that dumb truck intro, ugh.

    This was in 2008... And we have nothing like it in 2024.

    You are indeed correct in your assessment. HBO had such a suave, elegant, high quality feel about the shows, even if the fights weren't always entertaining. All major networks nowadays try to emulate a urban style feel when it comes to their presentation. However: A) it comes across as an downgrade compared to HBO. B) Commentators aren't as knowledgeable, articulate and or even honest when compared to Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant and Max Kellerman. Although even they had the occasional hiccup. :lol:

    Urban style feel, is such a good way of putting it. Reminded me of PBC on Bounce.

    Majority of boxing today has the same, mid level production feel to it.

    PBC in the beginning was pretty damn good.

    I'm changing my mind, this has the makings of a draw. Young and hungry challenger like Pulev definitely has the tools to end Charr's reign of terror but at the same time Charr has the champion's pride that can't be denied. Even if there's controversy about the winner this will go along the lines of Wilder - Fury I and Canelo - Golovkin I.
