I think Toquinho would have a harder time subbing Maia. I dont think its the most likley outcome but Barral, Lovato jnr, Linares and Avellan are all high level black belts who are smart and know how to defend leglocks and Toquinho subbed them all, he nearly got Galvao as well. I think Maia beating Jacare is great but without the kimono Toquinho is better. If they fight MMA Maia would win but I think thats because his boxing is much better. I think its more likley that Toquinho would sub Maia than Maia sub him. Toquinhos Jiu Jitsu is better for MMA because its faster to the submisson

I think Maia has a really aggressive guard in jits but he doesn't know how to create damage from his back ala Condit/Diaz and he doesn't have aggressive wrestling/sub attacks from top. If you end up in his guard ala Sonnen then you can get ****ed but if you never knew who Maia once was you would not think he is as good at jits as we know he is.
