    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Are you trying to compare the two in terms of BJJ skill?

You are displaying your ignorence. Silva is not on a level in terms of Jiu Jitsu.

No not at all , im simply pointing out your comment " anyone who fights him his has a good chance of tapping him " (Anderson Silva) or words to that effect to be totally ridiculous !!!!!!

Maia is as stated the best JJ practitioner in MMA to date ...........

Mabye english is not your first language or something so I wont be harsh. But has as good a chance as anybody does not mean anybody has a good chance of tapping him. But means that if anybody is going to tap Anderson Silva then Maia is up there in there in the likleyhood stakes.

Also the best BJJ practitoner in mma is the man in my avatar.

Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza he I think is 1-1 with Maia in BJJ compition. But Maia got submitted.

He has won the open weight Mundails (the biggest Gi BJJ compitition) twice, won his weight at the ADCC and won the superfight last year.

    You can skip the 1:45

People keep saying give Sonnen a shot after he beat Marquardt....yet Maia was the last guy to beat Sonnen only last year. There all beating each other at MW so you gotta just pick one.

That pretty much covers it. :good Any of them will do really, although I think Sonnen deserves the shot the most.

Yes but you must look at the matchups stylistically as well. Henderson did better against Silva than, well, anyone in the UFC. Leites on the other hand performed abysmally.

Sonnen = Hendo, Maia = Leites

ok here goes, Maia isn't a wrestler, he's a jiu jitsu guy, which means he trained in a bjj dojo most of his life that isn't oriented around takedowns (or even included as of the training starts straight to the ground) and will attempt a "backwards takedown" and pull guard everytime, silva wont follow him to the floor. He'll simply keep him at range and land leg kicks jabs , and will either put a snore fest 5 round domination or a ko 1st rd. In mma your not obligated to sub your opponent , you can nullify grappling defense ala chuck liddell style and still be an inferior grappler, Maia being a better jiu jitsu practitioner is irrelevant at this point.

    those two aren't comparable.
