WBA junior welterweight “regular” champion Marcos Maidana responded to WBO 140-pound boss Tim Bradley’s comments that Top Rank had offered Maidana a fight on this Saturday’s Pacquiao-Marquez undercard only for the Argentine to turn it down.
“Top Rank offered 150K ($150,000) for that fight. So if Bradley thinks I can face him for those peanuts he'll keep dreaming,” Maidana said via Twitter.
Instead of Maidana, Bradley faces former two-weight world champion Joel Casamayor of Cuba in his debut for Top Rank at the welterweight limit.
“We went after Maidana, and Maidana turned it down,” Bradley told Elie Seckbach in a video released yesterday. “And Maidana’s a strong opponent. Joel Casamayor, he was there, and he took the fight, so why not?”

Maidana is being difficult when it comes to making fights, its something you wouldnt expect from him, first morales now this.
Of course he is right if it are bad offers, time to get him in the ring with matthysse imo.
Him vs bradley would eventually be good as well, as would fights with marquez, rios, khan 2,morales 2, berto, bailey, ortiz 2 be.

$150k is too low when Bradly is getting over $1mil. He made $550k and $500k in Khan and Morales fight.

No doubt Maidana got low balled 150 k thats not a whole lot, but if he

would have took the fight and pulled an upset think of the postion he

    puts himself in

Nobody makes money on a Pac under card. It all goes to the main event.

Time for Maidana vs Matthyse imo. I think Bradley would beat Maidana tbh. Close one but Bradley does the cleaner work.

Safe bet. Don't think it would be all that close.

I think it'd be a little wider than Khan's win. Not to say Bradley's better, just styles.

F*cking joke, $150k so logically Maidana tells Timid Timmy to take a walk & then Bradley is surprised Marcos turned it down.... But hey, why fight Maidana when Casamayor is so much more dangerous:lol:
