By Team Maidana After a one-and-a-half-year working relationship, former WBA Super Lightweight champion Marcos “El Chino” Maidana and trainer Miguel Diaz have parted ways, Team Maidana informed on Thursday. “I’ve thought I needed a change, but I’m grateful to Miguel. We had a good time together,” Maidana said. “Marcos will start a new era in his career. He has an enormous potential and is ready to take his career to the next level. He learned many things from Miguel and I’m sure he will keep learning” Maidana’s advisor Sebastian Contursi said. Maidana’s new trainer’s name will be disclosed shortly. ___________ Wouldn't it be crazy if he gets with martinez's trainer? They'll be like the 3 man Argentina Mob Squad.
Nacho would be a very very good choice, obviously maidana cant be turned into a master boxer but he'll tighten up a few things and teach him some new moves. but if nacho isnt available robert granpda garcia is the next best choice for him.
yeah diaz is good but sometimes fighters need a change to refresh themselves, it helps them mentally trying new things.
Agreed. Who doesn't love watching Maidana fight?, he might not be the most technically refined but you can guarantee he gets to his opponent at least once in the fight. The guys a beast that's always ready to go to war.
