    Maybe the parallels here are a reach here, and surely Broner is no Mayweather but hell supposedly and not in my view, Canelo is leagues above Maidana.

    A banger vs a stylist, and had Canelo fought like Maidana, with such a size advantage and youth over Money it could have been closer but Canelos safety first approach that night leads me to believe what I have felt all along: he is a media and Golden boy creation. Good fighter, but far from great

    had Canelo took chances and went for broke and imposed his physicality, either I ko this guy or I get KTFO maybe he pulls a Maidana. Am I fuking Nuts?????

    Mayweather is just leagues above Canelito.

    Give the guy credit.

    Maidana will have his opportunity to take chances against Floyd and we'll see how that works for him.

    Canelo would have lost but the TC is right, he took no chances at all. At least Cotto gave it his best and took some good shots from Mayweather but landed some himself. At least Corrales tried. Canelo didn't do ****. Ricky tried and got KO'd but he did way better than Canelo.

    Alvarez had the wrong game plan & was outpointed.
    All those others mentioned got shalacking's & or one sided beatings.

    Mayweather/Alvarez was hardly a beating of any kind... Str8 fencing match.
    (#TeamAlvarez ****ed up w/The trying to box ****)

    A Maidana fight is fun because we get to see Floyd fight on the inside against a fighter who will be there to hit & get hit... ALOT.

    Different stylistic match-ups, Canelo is completely different from Maidana and despite imitating him Broner is completely different from (read: inferior to) Mayweather.

    I don't think Canelo would have been successful trying to do to Mayweather what Maidana did to Broner. He would have looked worse and eaten more counters.
